Northumberlandia, the largest human landform sculpture

Located in Cramlington, Northumberland, Northumberlandia is the largest human landform sculpture. This resembles a naked lady lying on her back having her hairs spread out and the lower part twisting to the left giving the impression as if she was dancing. The sculpture was created from the rocks layering with clay and then toppling with soil for growing grass. Some of the features of the unique sculpture are highlighted with stone from the former mine. There are several resting points and viewing points from which one can view the open cast mine that gave birth to her.
