If everything goes smooth, England will soon see a possibility of charging electric cars while they are on the move. Highways England has announced a technology that will be able to transfer power wirelessly to the electric vehicles through the special underground electromagnetic fields of the roads. The Government has already committed to spend £500 million over the next five years for the project. It is expected that off-road trials will be held for 18 months sometime in 2016 or 2017 for deciding on subsequent on-road trials. South Korea has already implemented a similar project earlier.
