Eshima Ohashi overpass – Is it an overpass or a rollercoaster?

Japan’s Eshima Ohashi can easily be termed a hill that can scare the hell out of the most confident drivers.  This overpass, which takes the 3rd place among the largest ones of its kind, has a sharp rise for letting ships pass beneath it. This road overpass of concrete covers a distance of one mile across Lake Nakaumi and links the metropolises of Sakaiminato and Matsue. This road overpass, which has a couple of lanes, spans a distance of 1.7km and is 11.4 meters. It has an incredible slope having an incline of 6.1% on the Shimane zone side and 5.1% on the Tottori zone side that lends it a rollercoaster sort of appearance.
